St. Teresa at Auburn

October 26, 2009 at 1:13 pm

Outside of a loss to Williamsville, the Auburn defense has been stiff this season. And the Trojans know about how to get it done in the postseason, getting their 13 straight years now.

If Auburn doesn’t guard the receivers like they didn’t in 2007, is St. T still going to try to run the ball every play?

This is going to a great game, but very low scoring. I like T take at least one in the playoffs. St. Teresa 14-10.

It appears that they only beat 2 teams with a winning record and lost to 2 teams with a winning record. The remaining 5 teams all had losing records.

    They beat Petersburg/Porta 8-1 and Pawnee 7-2

They lost to Williamsville 8-1 and Riverton 6-3

    I predict STT by 2 td’s.

I think this is the best game of week one for Okaw teams. Auburn coming off a 2A semis last year and StT showing people this is not a rebuilding year should be a good one. But after last weeks loss to Monticello I am going to give it to the Trojans from the West. Auburn 21
    StT 13

I think this will be a very tough game for St. Teresa. Earlier in the year St. T looked very good but that was only because Queen played very well. He has barely played the last few games and At. T’s passing game has struggled. St. T barely beat Tuscola (1A) and Maroa (2A) and lost to the good 3A teams they played (Tolono and Monticello). I don’t know anything about Auburn but my guess is that they will be very good since they have a well established football program. I’m hoping for an Okaw victory but my crystal ball is cloudy.

unfortunatly I agree with the clown and observer..St. T is a good team, and NORMALLY they would be a team that could intimidate an opponent, but I dont see Auburn scared. They are a solid team and a solid program, I do believe ST. T can win…but they will have to play a full game…an early lead isnt enough, also Auburns wins aren’t as impressive as St T AND WE ARE THE OKAW…so the flipped coin has landed 21-20 ST T

  8. o&b says:
    October 26th, 2009 at 7:30 pm

i would still say st t is intimidating. especially more to non conference teams who havent seem them all year and all they know is st t is a traditional powerhouse that always goes 3 rounds deep in the playoffs.
dawgs by 3 td’s with defense locking down auburn.

    October 26th, 2009 at 10:19 pm

I’m hearing from some folks in the PSC that Auburn is not as complete a team as in recent years, though they do have an excellent qb with passing skills. Auburn will probably key on stt running game again, but dawgs prevail by 2 tds.

  10. Romel says:
    October 26th, 2009 at 11:27 pm

I think that STT will get beat by about the same score as the Sages game was. Bates the QB is one of if not the beat QB in 3A.

  11. Romel says:
    October 26th, 2009 at 11:29 pm

I meant to say best QB not Beat QB. Sorry.

  12. OutsideLookingIn says:
    October 27th, 2009 at 4:28 am

Bates the best QB in 3A? Now thats a bold statement. And a prediction that Auburn is as good as Monticello is laughable!! You obviously do not know much about the Okaw or 3A football teams.

  13. cwalum says:
    October 27th, 2009 at 6:45 am

I’ve heard the same thing that Auburn is not as good as last year’s team. However, if weather conditions allow it, Auburn will be the toughest version of the spread offense that StT has seen. Shut down Auburn’s passing game, contain Bates and his scrambling skills, and if StT runs the ball effectively (ball control=clock management), StT will win. If not, it’s one and done for the Bulldogs.

  17. jimmy_mac says:

I will say this about this match up…if St T defends the pass as poorly as it did in 2005 they will not win this game. St T will have to establish a ground game which no one has done this year against Auburn’s very big front line.

  18. Romel says:
    October 27th, 2009 at 1:25 pm

Outsidelookingin, Yes Bates is one of if not the best QB in 3A. Bates has been a starter for the last 3 years and he is only a junior. Last year he pass for over 2700 yards. He was taking his teams deep in to the playoffs when the Sages were going winless. There is no one in the OVC who is a better passer than Bates, NOT ONE.

wonder what happened to the guy that was hitting the HR blogs earlier in the season braggin about Auburn — can’t remember his name — (brad or something like that) he stopped when they got beat by W-ville (I think). he fell off their bandwagon EARLY.

    GO Dawgs! Make us proud!
    Okaw Football Believes in YOU!!

  20. OutsideLookingIn says:
    October 27th, 2009 at 2:37 pm

Romel - Why don’t you just name all of the qb’s in the okaw and give us their stats to compare with your guy Peyton Manning Bates. BTW Calpreps predicts a 28-19 STT win.

  21. jimmy_mac says:
    October 27th, 2009 at 6:32 pm

outsidelooking in….why don’t you just concede Bates is better than any QB in your invinceable OKAW….Its OK for someone else to be good…I know its a hard concept to understand but its OK..other people work hard and have good football teams..Okaw blind people never understand that and talk the talk come playoff time and Auburn still wins every time. Last year all the talk on here was how Macon was going to the semi’s and Auburn hadn’t seen a player like Getz and no way they could stop him. What people don’t understand is Auburn has more tradition than any team in the Okaw and they and their veteran coaching staff have seen it all. 13 straight playoff appearances and 4 semi’s in the last 7 years. They have only lost 2 first round games in the last 10 years of the playoffs. They must be doing something right.

  22. Friday Nites says:
    October 27th, 2009 at 7:35 pm

Jimmy… More Tradition than any school in the Okaw.. You probably need to take a closer look. 13 straight is a great run, but where’s the hardware! There appears to be alot of that tradition in the Sangamo.

  23. jimmy_mac says:
    October 27th, 2009 at 7:53 pm

Friday…You are exactly right..no hardware..its the one think missing on Auburn’s resume. They have done everything there is to do except the championship but I assure you one is coming. They are loaded at the lower levels all the way down to the 5th grade. Their program just reloads every year and there is no dry spell for a long long time. They will get theirs in time. Still doesn’t take anything away from the program they have. Your point is well taken though.

  24. cwalum says:
    October 28th, 2009 at 7:05 am

jimmy: Auburn has a terrific program, tradition and some of the classiest fans there are. I have no doubt that the Trojans will bring home some hardware within the next few years. Who knows, maybe this year.

  25. o&b says:
    October 28th, 2009 at 7:09 am

the running game probably will not win this game for st t game. its gonna be won on their defense and special teams for the most part. followed by some good passing. as they nickel and dime them down the field. unless they are able to run all over them, then auburns in deep sh*t.

  26. jimmy_mac says:
    October 28th, 2009 at 7:12 am

cwalum…I really doubt this year is the year for the title but who knows…3A is absolutely loaded..They had a shot in 2A without a doubt but that’s the way it goes…that said there is no reason Auburn can’t make the quarters in 3A with a decent shot at semi’s.

  27. OutsideLookingIn says:
    October 28th, 2009 at 7:27 am

jimmy_mac - Just how many state football championships has Auburn won????? Keep talking tradition, your team doesn’t stand a chance in 3A! Good Luck with your superior JFL program!

  28. jimmy_mac says:
    October 28th, 2009 at 10:13 am

outsidelooking in…as I have said..no state titles…and I absolutely love it when someone doesn’t give us a chance..We have the bullseye on our back every year and get everyone’s A game every week. Not having a chance is a welcomed change. Please tell everyone in 3A what you just told me…we will just take our little old 3A team into the lions den and hope we can compete. Tell St T to call off the dogs early…we’re way over our heads.

  29. Innocent Bystander says:
    October 28th, 2009 at 10:35 am

I have seen two St. T games this year. I would feel better about the Bulldog’s chances if they would have had a better showing against Monticello. It would be nice for them to have a little more positive momentum going into this game. Maybe the strength of schedule will help. With that said, I know very little about Auburn. I looked at their record, scores and opponents and was less than impressed. The Rivertons, Williamsvilles, and Petersburgs of the world are not exactly football powerhouses. If Auburn would have ran the table then I might feel differently. As a school that made it into 3A, I would have to classify them as a good team from a weak league. Even in a weaker south bracket, I am having a hard time seeing either team making a very long run. But heck, I have been wrong before. Good Luck to both teams.

    October 28th, 2009 at 10:43 am

The bulleye on your back is no bigger than the one on St.T and M/F’s back. All successful teams are the ones other teams want to beat. That’s the price you pay for a good program.

  31. jimmy_mac says:
    October 28th, 2009 at 11:25 am

old gamer, I am well aware the bullseye exists in many places and wasn’t suggesting otherwise. I was simply stating that Auburn is being completely overlooked in 3A and that is a nice change from playoffs of the past. It will be very interesting to say the least.

  32. jimmy_mac says:
    October 28th, 2009 at 11:39 am

innocent bystander…I’m not sure what you took from looking at schedules and scores but trust me when I say the Sangamo is just as tough as the Okaw this year. Williamsville, Porta, and Auburn stack up with the top 3 in the Okaw easily. I would not say that about the old PSC that Auburn came from but it is a different story in the new Sangamo. The schools are bigger and much more competitive. The Okaw is good, but the Sangamo in its first year is right there.

  33. Innocent Bystander says:
    October 28th, 2009 at 11:55 am

I guess I am basing a great deal of my feelings on some of the games I have seen or read about in the last five years when those teams you mentioned make it to the playoffs. We could ask Riverton how much they enjoyed playing St. Joe and Unity in the playoffs a couple of years ago. I know that when teams look at the brackets, there is a big difference from “Wow, we drew Unity,” to “Wow, we drew Petersburg.” Both of those schools won their conferences. I am not trying to be mean about it, and I think it is great that you are standing up for your league. This game will be a good comparison: Both Auburn and St. T finished third in their conferences. Let’s see how you both compare.

  34. o&b says:
    October 28th, 2009 at 12:18 pm

the top three in the sangamo would not beat any of the top 6 in the okaw. but hey thats me being a homer. my opinion may change after this saturday.

  35. Innocent Bystander says:
    October 28th, 2009 at 12:58 pm

I also reserve the right to alter my opinion after the game. As this website has shown all year, the best way to shut people up is to beat them. I remember a post in the St. T - Maroa thread a few weeks ago that their game was for the “overall Okaw Championship.” Well, St. T finished 3rd in their division, and Maroa finished in a “kiss your sister” three way tie. Funny how all of that works out. No doubt, this is a great comparison game. In the south, all of the River to River and Black Diamond people are having the same debate, I can almost guarantee it.

  36. o&b says:
    October 28th, 2009 at 2:10 pm

yes they are, its all over the ihss board. but theres not much comparison there…

St.Teresa should win this game. The strength of schedule is the deciding factor.

  38. Clown from the North says:
    October 28th, 2009 at 3:48 pm

Sangamo vs OVC…well first off there is no tradition with Sangamo. None of the teams have won any championships where 4 teams have in the OVC. Then throw in the runnerups semis and elite 8s, and I do believe you will have a winner. OVC this year is more well rounded than ever. Any of the 6 teams in the conf. could of went undefeated. Only 1 did. That tells u how tough the conf. was this year. A lot of close scores within those 6 teams too! I look for several teams to make the semis and I loo for 2 teams to make the finals and 1 of those teams to win it. I do not see any Sangamo team making the finals or semis. Maybe an elite 8 but thats about it.

  39. DJ says:
    October 28th, 2009 at 5:10 pm

I’m late to this discussion, but St. T has faced two Okaw Black QB’s just as good as Bates. Unity’s Dylan Sturgeon has run for 1372 yards (23 tds) and passed for 1067 yards (13tds). Monticello’s Ben Palla has passed for 2097 yards (24 tds). While St. T lost both games, they will be prepared to defend either a running or passing QB.
This game will be determined by which team controls the LOS.

  40. loop-t-lou says:
    October 28th, 2009 at 5:16 pm

Look just being able to watch this game would be a treat. These two teams have been at the top of their conference for years now and they have A LOT of playoff experience. I’ve seen STT twice and haven’t seen Auburn but know a little about them. I think that the way STT finished the season hurts but I think they play better teams week-after-week than the Trojans. However, it being in Auburn and they way that I’ve seen them play defense the past couple of years I think that they have a slight edge. STT had some lingering injuries and I hope they win! But …..
    21-14 Auburn.

clown from the north……look at last year’s predictions about the okaw on these blogs…then look what happened in the quarterfinals. it’s about to happen again. these teams that aren’t in the OVC don’t give a crap about your strength of schedule. They are just really good teams that are less banged up this time of year.

  42. ExCoach says:
    October 28th, 2009 at 7:34 pm

Beast from the east — Good point. Sometimes the season of battles prepares you for the playoffs but physically hurts your chances. The game a few years ago was a good one, but Auburn was very good that day. Coach Davis and Coach Bates are great coaches that win big games. Should be a great atmosphere and I know it will be a great game. Good luck to all.

go raiders….Auburn knows your conference very well. They have played 3 teams in the last 6 years and beat them all. Of course everyone on here (obvious Decatur-area homers) predicted each time that Auburn couldn’t win because the Okaw is so dominant. I love the same thing is being said this year. Auburn just shows up and takes care of business.

Auburn is tough no doubt…and they have history of a great program…but where is the hardware…we have multiple teams that have been in the championship games…AND have won just in the last few years…I have many teams in my memory bank that seem to run deep come playoff time..and sorry to say the sangamo teams dont ring a bell….you got beat by riverton!!!….thats that small town i blow by on the way to somewhere important…kinda what i hope St. T does to you!

jimmy_mac- Auburn takes care of business?…CAM had shirts for two straight years that said unfinished business…then in the third STRAIGHT year they “took care of business” a state title!you implying that beating an okaw team is taking care of business just goes to show, you realize thats one heck of an accomplishment…but it isnt THE TITLE! just the same feeling

  48. jimmy_mac says:
    October 28th, 2009 at 11:47 pm

Nope no titles. We can talk about that if you want but I was simply responding to those that come on here and talk up the Okaw teams and how they will win because of the invinceable Okaw always being so tough. I was just pointing out how Auburn hears that every year yet seems to always beat them. If you wanna talk about titles or lack of we can but let’s finish the other conversation first. You Okaw people are so predictable. First you talk you teams up, but then when someone reminds you they have beat your teams the last 3 times they played them you drop that and start talking titles. Let me guess the next one is your dad is going to beat up my dad….

I have seen St. T play a couple of times this year, and I thought the backs were ok. The biggest difference from last year to this year is that the line is not as domininant. I am not saying that this year’s line is not good, they are. Last year had Ohlendorf, and a couple others that were great linemen. Leading up the Unity game, people were saying that the huge St. T line was going to blow the Unity defensive line away. That did not happen, because the St. T line was not huge, and the Unity line was not as small as some people had led me to believe. I don’t care who the back was, there was no hole to run through. It is not an insult to the current group to say that they lost several all-conference linemen to graduation. It simply means that they need to continue to work hard in the weightroom.

They spread you out, make you cover the whole field and present problems you typically don’t see during the year. Plus I know this year they have some size up front to go with their skills kids.

shooter - why do you say Auburn will present problems St T doesn’t typically see? The Bulldogs have faced Maroa and Monticello, who both use the spread offense, and have faced Unity’s run/pass threat at QB Dillon Sturgeon. If the Bulldogs lose, it won’t be because they haven’t seen what Auburn will throw at them, it will be their offensive struggles. If the Bulldogs can put 28 points on the board against Auburn they can win this game.

West is Best thanks for proving my point this years backfield is so weak it has taken 2 backs to get over 1000 yards!!! You can argue all you want the numbers dont lie ST T has no rushing game this year and most likely will not have anything next year either since the same small backs will be returning.

Raiders are coming you beat one team with a winning record this year and you are running your mouth? Won it on a lucky play to boot. It is people like you who give certain schools a bad name. Don’t act like Maroa posters and have some class even though it seems you don’t have any. St T beat Maroa….how did your team do?

  66. stuck_throttle says:

HAhaha.. This is entertaining! There is a saying in the stock market: “past performance does not guarantee future success”. Once you’ve made the playoffs a few times and won a few games, you know how to do it. Having a title under your belt is an incredible thing, but it does nothing for you after that. What matters is who shows up and plays tomorrow. St. T better bring it or prepare for a long day. Someone said ST.T wins by 3 TD? I doubt they even score 3 TD!

  67. Raiders are coming! says:

And how many did your team beat? Typical ST T whiner! Dont be crying because the backfield is filled with little kids and the run game is weak it will only be that way for one more year. Maybe next year the little people can ride to the game in a little clown car instead of the big bus LOL! I think a couple of ST T players went up to Maroa and sold them some good stuff before we played them thats why we lost. We will be waiting for you to jump on the A and M wagon after your loss on Saturday! GO Raiders!!!!!!!

  68. Beat someone with a winning record says:
    October 30th, 2009 at 9:15 am

St T beat Maroa and Tuscola. That would be two teams. You beat one. You lost at Maroa because for some stupid reason your team only likes to play 2 quarters out of 4. Keep that up and you won’t last long. Ever heard the saying “play hard for 48 minutes?” If you had done that all year you might be undeafeated. But maybe you are just happy being average. Winners go the extra mile and well loser’s don’t.

Isn’t your study hall almost over? When was the last time you beat St T? That is what I thought. A win is a win right? Just like your player sliding in the endzone from the 3 vs Tuscola? Better focus on Flora kids or you will be licking your own wounds on the 2 hour drive home. No reason to be cocky when you haven’t been in the playoffs in a long time. Have a little class again…

Raider nation..first of all Monticello does not run a true spread offense…just because you occasionally put 4 receivers out does not necessarily mean spread offense. Maroa on the other hand does run a true spread but they don’t run it like Auburn does. Auburn throws the ball down field with much more complexity to its offense. Maroa is more of a screen and QB option/keeper type offense. Most of what Maroa does is close to the line of scrimmage making it easier to defend unless they have tremendous athletes which they have had but don’t have so much this year. Auburn throws the ball downfield in multiple formations most all the time. Most teams have seen it some of the time but not as much as Auburn does it. Pass coverage is so much more of an emphasis against them than a team like Maroa. I never said St T can’t handle it. Maybe they can, I was just saying it can be a difficult offense to defend. No ill will meant.

  73. Raider Nation says:
    October 30th, 2009 at 11:18 am

shooter…no ill will meant or taken on my part, just wanted some clarification. Good points, but I don’t believe we are talking about the Indianapolis Colts. Whether the passing attack comes via short passes or long it still comes down to being in the right place if you are playing a zone or having the speed to cover a good receiver if you are in man. My point is that ST. T has prepared for teams that pass first and run second. Good discussion though!

st t’s backs arent good? maybe not great. but good they are. lets see:
    evan hayes 175 carries 1307 yards 16 td’s
    kyle burns 117 carries 787 yards 13 td’s
    ryan smith 92 carries 727 yards 6 td’s
between the two backs you got more yards more td’s and fresher legs on the field. and they both return next year bigger better faster. not to mention the fullback stats. who also will return next year. along with basically the entire team.

  75. o&b says:

Typical ST T whiner answer always an excuse, you dawg followers are pathetic! Hayes still averages more yards per carry than the two ST T backs combined but you keep making excuses for them thats what the dawg lovers do. Bigger next year? I doubt it unless someone buys them some heels. Better? I doubt it. Faster? Not unless a raider is carrying them down the field. Looks Like ST T is gearing up for another 7-2 season with this years team returning. TG I am glad you liked that!

Raiders are coming! Check the stats my friend! Your r.b averages 7.1 yds/carry, Ryan Smith averages 8.1 yds/carry. If you skipped math class, that would be 1 yard per carry more. Furthermore, Burns and Smith combine for 1433 yds on 200 carries which equals 7.165 yds/carry your guy has 1273 yds on 179 carries which equals 7.112 yds/carry, so you are wrong there to. Stats don’t lie!

Well like I said the Dogs lost in a close hard-fought game. Sounds like just not enough defense for the Dogs. They fought back and came close but in the end it just wasn’t their day and that’s how it goes in the playoffs. I didn’t like how the momentum changed because of stupidity. Look any coach should know even if you have a questionable call you don’t multiple the negative by getting 2 stupid personal foul penalties and putting your players in a hole. Those kids fought back out of it in the 4th but come on guys. Coaches should know when to keep their composure and down 1 score late in a playoff game is one of those times. Good season for the Dogs. The rest of the Okaw…….That’s what I’m talking about. Good showing by all teams in my opinion.

Unfortunately the Officals decided the outcome of this game in the 4th quarter. At least they should have gotten together and determined if it was a fumble or not, this is a playoff game. The runner was clearly down on contact with the ground. Oh well, STT handled those tired big boys quite well in the 4th quarter. Too bad the outcome wasn’t decided by the players instead by the Officials with their ruling and 2 unsportmanlike conduct penalties.

#7, Keep your head held high,(at least 66″ high)there’s no shame in doing your best. Penalties and turnovers were very costly at Auburn. YOU had a positive influence on the outcome of several games this season. The team actually over achieved, in order to win all of the games that they did. YOU were a big part of that success, due in part to YOUR ability to take on bigger opponents, and often times shutting them down. Stay positive and believe in your self and your team mates. Best Wishes to you in the future!

Being small on defense is a lot different than being small on offense. playing corner is very hard if ur 5 foot 6 and ur going against 6 foot 190 pound recievers. u arent at the practices u dont know what the corner has to do while hes in man coverage. u not only have to run with him but u have to look for the ball WHEN u get to his hip and then u have to still run and jump up and tip the ball its hard and u need to not blame this game on marcel! thats ridiculous. u dont see coach davis blaming marcel for those touchdowns he gave up or smittys fumble those dont lose the game so ya

Marcel, I too have watched you all year, and though you aren’t without mistake, you are an important part of this team and should always remember that. This individual is allowed their opinion, no matter how wrong they are, but the reason you are the discussion is because you are important, and a threat to someone.
I personally enjoyed watching you play, and I have a great feeling about this young team next year. I have a son who plays on JV, and being that he too plays db, he loves watching you. He played on this team when he was in 7th grade in JFL, and this team was exciting, can’t wait to see next year. Work hard in the offseason Marcel, and shut the mouths of some of these critics. I always tell my son, no one has ever lost a fight by being knocked down, only staying down. Go Dogs!

  111. loop-t-lou says:

Op here we go again with the STT fans blaming the refs. Read what YOUR head coach said in the H&R “that call did not cost us the game”. However Scott could blame one of his family members, Ben Davis for being a flaming idiot and getting 2, not 1 but 2 personal foul penalties and compacting the already bad situation. So maybe it wasn’t a fumble, your defense probably stops them if not for that stupid cry-baby assistant. That was what we call a momentum shift and look how it affected your defense. Show some class and stop complaining. You were the only Okaw team to lose in the 1st round. You’ll be good next season so hopefully you’ll have a better showing in the playoffs. Oh, and “Marcel” i agree that corner is THE hardest position to play in HS football and sure i guess your size is a factor, and I never blame the loss on one person because that’s a rediculous thing to do. Good luck next year!

Blaming the refs..I love it and it is so predictable. The game should have never been as close as it was anyway. Go Sangamo your the best??????

What does Porta have that could possibly be a concern for A&M?

Not beating Porta drum as much as letting you know your beloved Okaw is not near as good as you think you are. Porta is very athletic and get after you. A lot of team speed, very good tacklers. A & M won’t beat them. Sangamo will get another against the invinceable Okaw.

Sorry but there weren’t any sophomores on that team to be worried about. Juniors, sure but we all have those. Auburn has 5 junior receivers to go with 3 sophs and even a Freshman for next year so I doubt they are shaking in their boots. Once again there are other teams outside the invinceable Okaw with underclassmen. Man you people are such easy targets. Underclassmen? Funny.

Let’s see St T by 3 TD’s…nope. Locking down Auburn’s offense…nope, in fact Bates threw for over 300. I don’t know if anyone in the Sangamo gave up that many… Oh well..Auburn intimidated..nope…St T always goes 3 rounds deep…nope…Have you said anything that has actually played out? What the matter shooter, Auburn doesn’t have the Auburn gazette to post blogs in? How bored you must be; thanks for making the StT blog the longest out there. You have a player posting above no excuses, the coach of StT said no excuses, most of us are parents or Alumn that could care less about your conference except the 1 or 2 years of 6 someone from there does something good enough to make it to the second round. Can your conference match the playoff wins and championships of ours? StT had 2 losses and that is our down year, can you match that year after year. Don’t come to our blog talking smack once every blue moon bragging, act like you have been to the third round of the playoffs the past 6 years like StT….oh, you haven’t. Shhhhh, hear that, sounds like the Sangamo in the sectionals year after year. The Okaw has proven winners year after year. how about 10 sophomores. 4 i believe are first year starters? including 2 lineman atleast. and the starting sophomore QB, many dont know that its his first year ever playing QB. and all the other sophomores all saw significant playing time all year. then 15 juniors coming back.
and i never said there werent any other teams without uinderclassmen, why dont you get over yourself. i wasnt making excuses for them losing because they were young. i was aying they should be a force the next couple years atleast, because almost all of them were first year starters or first year varsity players because last years team was all seniors and there was only 8 seniors for this year.
and i hope you guys make it to the third round. because you wont make it past that round no matter who you play. Mark it down, DQ or Unity, i hope Unity so it will be an okaw team that beats you.

I’m not sure who “shooter” is, but he does not represent the majority of Auburn! We are (normally) a very respecful bunch. St. T played hard, hung tough, kept fighting, and never, EVER gave up. I don’t know exactly what happened w/the two penalties and the coach getting thrown out, but if the FANS, players, or anyone goes off on the refs, it’s the COACH who gets tossed. Just sayin’, it may NOT have been the coaches fault. St. T, congrats on a great year and a great game. I would like to see Auburn and the Sangamo get more respect from the Okaw, but to get it you have to give it. That being said, the only team that hit us as hard as St. T, was PORTA. I don’t know anything about A&M, but PORTA will be tough. One last thing, Marcel, don’t let them get to you. It was not your fault by any stretch.
