'Honky Tonk Angels' opens at Little Theatre Oct. 18

SULLIVAN - "The Honky Tonk Angels," featuring the music of Dolly Parton, Loretta Lynn, Tammy Wynette and other queens of country music, will open Thursday at the Little Theatre-On the Square.

The three-woman play runs through Oct. 28.

"The Honky Tonk Angels" follows the journey of three women from different backgrounds who meet by chance on the bus to Nashville and fulfill their dreams by forming a honky-tonk singing group.

Songs include "Stand By Your Man," "Coal Miner's Daughter," "9 to 5," "I Will Always Love You" and "Harper Valley PTA."

The cast for "The Honky Tonk Angels" consists of three actresses making their Little Theatre debuts: Carol Kuykendall (Sue Ellen), Annalyse McCoy (Darlene) and Liz Pazik (Angela).

The musical is directed by Shawn Pryby and.;choreographed by Kuykendall.
