Tuscola theater group presents 'Oklahoma!'

TUSCOLA - The Actors' Rural Theatre Company continues the celebration of its 10th anniversary with the musical "Oklahoma!"

The play will be presented in Tuscola's Community Building. Performance dates are July 17-20 and 24-27. Performances are 7 p.m. except Sundays, which are 2:30 p.m.

Curly will be portrayed by ARTCo newcomer Brandon Wilson of Greenup. Wilson played Curly in a Cumberland High School production, as well. Laurey is double-cast, played by Villa Grove's Rebecca Carmack, a Millikin University student, and Charleston senior Katelyn Stephens.

Will Parker is played by Champaign resident John Deal, and Ado Annie is double-cast with Angela Arwine and Casey Higgins.

Rounding out the cast are Holley Kappes, Vicki Christy, Griffin Barr, Sean Higgins and Andrew Howie.

The play is directed by Lyn Selens.

ARTCo will hold a pie auction during intermission each night of the show. Also, a Longaberger Picnic Basket filled with a Longaberger pie plate and items from local businesses will be raffled off during the run of the production, with the drawing to be held at the final performance July 27.

Tickets are $11 for adults, $9 for seniors and students, and $5 for 12 and under. Call 253-6699 for reservations, which are recommended.
