DECATUR - The Mid-Illinois Chapter of the American Red Cross honored blood drive coordinators, blood and platelet donors and volunteers in Macon, Moultrie, DeWitt, Piatt and Shelby counties in a recent recognition dinner.
Each of the honored groups is critical to the success of Red Cross programs.
Volunteers of the Year
Volunteer of the Year Awards were given to:
Leland Wright, DeWitt County Volunteer of the Year
Fred Moore, Macon County Volunteer of the Year
Harriet Sadowski, Macon County Disaster Volunteer of Year
Liz Gant, Macon County First Aid Volunteer Coordinator Award
Diana Inman, Macon County Health and Safety Volunteer of the Year
Larry Baker, Moultrie County Volunteer of the Year
Orla Ferguson, Shelby County Volunteer of the Year.

Awards were presented to blood and platelet donors who have given 160 or more lifetime donations:
