Laura Neeley of Decatur has a habit of rearranging the furniture in her house once every three to six months.
Neeley says she developed an eye for arranging furniture in a room and wants to help other people make the most of their space.
Having furniture well laid out is especially important when it comes to selling a home and can help raise the selling price, Neeley said. She started Centsible Staging and Redesign to assist people in laying out their home when it goes on the market.
"With the market in Decatur, if they're staged, they do sell faster," Neeley said. "It's easier to see furniture in a house if it's actually there in proportion to what's there."
Neeley focuses on the Decatur area market and will travel to neighboring communities as needed.

Accelerated Appraisal Service Inc. now is valuing what you value most from a new location.
The certified real estate appraisal firm, which specializes in residential real estate, has moved from its location on North Water Street in downtown Decatur and now is at 315 E. Ruehl St. in Forsyth.
Appraisers Alicia D. Force and Kevin Miller say downtown posed some problems with parking with a job that means being in and out of the office all day, and they managed to collect a few tickets. Having fully appraised the new location's position on a quiet street with no parking hassles, they jumped at the chance to relocate.
"It's a much quieter neighborhood here," Force said. "And much easier to just come and go."
Accelerated Appraisal focuses on Macon, Moultrie, Piatt and DeWitt counties. Office hours are 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Call 877-5988.

If you can't get to fitness, fitness can come to you.
Fitness by Pamela Inc., is a new Decatur personal trainer business run by Pamela Fortner that visits clients in their homes to get them in shape. The good news from the business side is that it keeps overhead to a minimum, and the good news for nervous clients is they don't have to step into a gym, surrounded by people who look better than they do.
"I have some men clients but, especially with my women clients, most of them have never been in a gym and wouldn't feel comfortable in a gym," said Fortner, who is certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
"So this is an alternative where I can come in, work with them in their home and no one else has to see them. We can work to build their confidence level, and they are going to see body changes after four to six weeks, and they are going to start feeling better about themselves."
Fortner says diets can drop the weight but they won't do anything for muscle tone and fitness. Her workout sessions cost $35 an hour but she can tailor the time for people who might find a full 60 minutes tough going. She operates in the Decatur area and will travel to nearby towns.
She has a degree in advertising and had worked as a graphic designer before making the leap into something totally different. "I have been involved in exercise myself for about 23 years or so," she said. "And I just decided exercise and fitness is really where my heart is."
