Barnett Sign Service is joining forces with DynaGraphics/Fast Impressions as longtime owner Ron White retires.
The move should help Barnett customers benefit from the increased capabilities the larger company offers, said Scott Bowers, vice president of DynaGraphics/ Fast Impressions.
"We offer offset printing and digital printing as well as conventional signs like they've purchased in the past," Bowers said. "We have a really high-tech facility."
Bowers doesn't know if they will need to add more staff to accommodate the increase in customers, but he's hoping so. DynaGraphics/Fast Impressions currently employs about 35 people.
It is located at 3220 N. Woodford St. in Decatur and is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday.

It's all about having fun for the customers at the Bliss Salon in Mount Zion.
The salon, which opened a little more than a month ago at 1586 N. Illinois 121, has three nail technicians and two hair stylists.
Co-owner Kaye McEldowney says it's like one big happy family.
"We wanted to be ourselves," said McEldowney, who owns the business along with Laura Godfrey. "We want people when they come in to have a good time."
The business offers the latest hair and nail products, but it also offers fun things such as snacks.
"If you've had a bad day, you come out with a giggle," McEldowney said.
The salon is open by appointment. To make one, call 864-2321.
Great Cuts is cutting again.
The Decatur hair salon reopened Oct. 16 and is now located at 2920 N. Main St., right around the corner from Carlos O'Kelly's. The business had previously closed in May following the illness of former owner Margaret "Kay" Woodrum, 59, who died in July. Woodrum ran the salon for 20 years.
Now the business has been revived by co-owners Dawn Johnson, Woodrum's daughter, and Amy Chapman. They worked at Great Cuts for 20 years and 16 years, respectively, before the closure and have been joined by Loma Knutt, another former Great Cuts stylist.
Chapman said they had gone to another salon after Great Cuts closed but missed the camaraderie and atmosphere of the old business and decided to re-create it. "Dawn and I both had that idea, and everything just fell into place," said Chapman. "It's working out great, and we're all much happier."
The salon is open Tuesday through Saturday with flexible hours. Walk-ins welcome. Call 872-1500 for details.
