THOSE LOOKING for a convenient place to work out have a new option with a facility that opened this summer in Forsyth.
Snap Fitness, located at 133 Barnett Ave., offers members access 24 hours a day.
"It's convenient to stop by McDonald's and get a cheeseburger," Manager Zach Binkley said. "We want to try to make it convenient to stop by and work out, too."
Binkley said the Decatur area has a lot of third shift workers, so it offers them a place that's open when they have the time to work out. Members can use it any time with a swipe card, he said.
"Even if you don't want to work out at 3 in the morning, we're always open," he said.
The swipe card is good at any franchise location. The Forsyth location has about 170 members, Binkley said.
A membership is $34.95 a month for singles and $49.95 for a family. The center requires no contracts, so membership is on a month-to-month basis.

A DECATUR-BASED company led the pack again and was chosen to design the new logo for the NASCAR Nationwide Series, which is coming to Gateway International Raceway in Madison.
Jump Co., an advertising and design firm with offices in downtown Decatur and St. Louis, came up with a colorful oval-shaped design that features the NASCAR name above "Nationwide Series." The logo will be used in all aspects of publicity and branding surrounding the race series. Nationwide Insurance has stepped in as a major sponsor after NASCAR's 26-year relationship with Anheuser-Busch.
Kathy Balamos Ganley, a Jump account director based in Decatur, said: "We do many logos like this - and we previously designed the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series logo, too."
NASCAR says it's delighted with the Decatur company's work: "The logo is simple yet extremely effective in delivering a completely new look to the branding of the series," said Steve Phelps, NASCAR's chief marketing officer.
The NASCAR Nationwide Series championship begins Feb. 16 at Daytona International Speedway. It features 35 races at 26 tracks in 20 states and two other countries, Canada and Mexico.
