This month at Decatur art galleries:

Anne Lloyd Gallery: This month's exhibit, "Coast to Coast," features black and white silver gelatin photographs by Tim Schroll taken throughout the United States. A reception to meet the artist is open and free to the public from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 8. For those who enjoy puzzles, Schroll has designed a contest to identify the location of each photo. At the end of the reception, one entry will be selected randomly from all of the correctly identified entries to receive a print of choice from the show. Call 423-3189.

Gallery 510: The watercolor paintings of Oreana artist Rae Nell Spencer. A reception to meet the artist is open and free to the public from 5:30 to 7:30p.m. Friday, Aug. 8. Call 422-1509.

The Decatur Park District's summer activities wrap up with the 72nd annual Lantern Parade at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 6, at Fairview Park's Dreamland Lake.

Easter Seals Beach Barbecue at the Beach House, 5 p.m. Aug. 7. Featuring music by CoCo Loco, a Jimmy Buffet tribute band, and a silent auction. Cost is $10. Call 429-1052.

Golf outing to benefit Growing Strong, Monday, Aug. 18, at South Side Country Club. Rain date is Monday, Aug. 25. Tee time is 12:30 p.m., with buffet/awards at 6 p.m. Growing Strong is a counseling and advocacy service for victims of assault and abuse. Call 428-0770.
